SEASON ABOUT US PARKING / DIRECTIONS

In a small town in northern Minnesota, two families are torn apart by love and betrayal. An extramarital affair draws them into a world of romantic uncertainty and disturbing moral ambiguity where people hurt each other and love keeps happening. This intense story gives an up-close and personal look at two couples falling apart, falling together and moving on.  From the darkly comic mind of Craig Wright; past writer for SIX FEET UNDER, LOST and Philadelphia Weekly's '2007-2008 Play of the Year', GRACE.

Uneasy piece about a sad foursome     Divorce, 21st-Century style

by Toby Zinman; Philadelphia Inquirer     by Jim Rutter; Broad Street Review
"Two women. Two men. Four chairs. One bed. Uh-oh."      ". . . four superb performances"

"Luna Theatre's courageous production of Orange Flower Water by Craig Wright follows its excellent production last season of another Wright play, Grace. . . . It's Minnesota, so all of them talk as if they're in Fargo . . .  But the plot is . . . a portrait of sad, mediocre lives in suburban America where people say puerile things to each other . . .  This is an interesting play about uninteresting people.. . .  "  read full review

"Divorce these days is a routine rite of passage that most Americans accept without revulsion. Luna Theatre’s gut-wrenching production of Craig Wright’s Orange Flower Water may change your mind . . . Luna has taken an unfortunately common situation and made an evening of emotionally entrancing and intellectually satisfying theatre, causing me to walk out with a head full of questions. . ." read full review

    Current Affairs     Orange Flower Water

by J. Cooper Robb; Philadelphia Weekly     by Alaina Mabaso; Edge Philadelphia
“Everything actually has to happen doesn’t it?”     ". . . an affecting story with obvious moments of truth"

". . . Craig Wright’s gem Orange Flower Water, which can currently be seen in a solid production from Luna Theater Company . . .  if you favor unflinchingly honest, beautifully written theater, this perceptive work from one of America’s top playwrights is worth your time." read full review

"Four strong performances . . . include Chris Fluck as Brad, a football-jersey wearing little-league-sports-screaming dad who is more perceptive than he sounds. . .  Amanda Grove as Cathy succeeds in the most sympathetic and surprising role: . . .  turns out to be more of a hellcat than she seems." read full review
